In Honor of Memorial Day



Today we honor those who have served our country. Memorial Day is also traditionally when Turtlesinger, Inc. participates in the Avalon Memorial Day parade! What do turtles have to do with Memorial Day? Well, Turtlesinger turtles Rocky and Gracie (scroll down), and Big Black Bart (pictured left at a past Avalon Memorial Day Parade) serve as turtle ambassadors to help remind everyone of turtles in memoriam: that many turtles are routinely killed at this time every year trying to cross the roads. Parades give us a great opportunity to remind people to watch out for turtles on the roads! We'll miss the parade this year since it was cancelled due to Covid-19. And...
