4 Pet Turtles We Love!





Here’s a picture of all 4 Turtlesinger turtles we love, which we put on our brochure.


That teeny tiny turtle on the bottom right is Spike way back when we still thought he might be a girl and named him Maxine!


Except for Spike, who was in his first 2 Turtlesinger Shows only hours after we first got him, the other turtles were simply my beloved turtle pets before they became turtle stars and part-time working turtles.

Turtle Family Photo!





Here’s another family photo of the turtle pets we love in honor of National Love Your Pet Day.


We arranged the turtles in order of size.


Notice how Spike is so small I can hold him between 2 fingers!


Spike will always be our “baby” turtle since he is our youngest turtle.

Turtle Family Photo Years Later!





Now you can see Spike is third in line in size! It was not easy for Charlie to hold Spike in one hand for very long for this family turtle photo—but he could do it: not so today! Today, due to Spike’s size, he would come after Bart in a turtle family photo!


Although Spike has surpassed Bart in size, he has not (yet) surpassed Bart in weight—and Bart is still growing, as is Spike. But again: Spike will always be our “baby.”


We have loved caring for these turtles for 32 years now, and have made provisions for all of them in our will, since they could outlive us!

National Love Your (Cat) Pet Day!





Our current cats, Wally and Ollie, although affectionate, are not exactly huggers.


But Jeeves, a former cat pictured here, was a real snuggler.


Our life is so much better with our cats…and turtles!

Gracie And Me!





We used another version of this photo for my second Turtlesinger CD, Different.


Like the Gracie song goes: All the boys love Gracie Girl and I know I love her, too on National Love Your Pet Day!


We liked showing the shell of my motorcycle helmet with Gracie’s shell. Gracie also has a motorcycle belt now, although she didn’t have it when this picture was taken.


We chose to end this blog with our girl Gracie, to let you know the next upcoming blog will be coming right up on Gracie’s 32nd birthday on February 25th!
