What’s That Sound?

Make sure you turn up the volume to hear the video on the left, because if the sounds Gracie makes don’t make you want to eat some summer watermelon on National Watermelon Day, probably nothing will! Gracie loves her crisp, juicy watermelon, and demonstrates how a turtle’s mouth is like a sharp beak that can carve through the watermelon. Turtles don’t have teeth, but they can still deliver a sharp bite!

To see Bart carve through his own serving of watermelon, SCROLL DOWN…

Bart Loves Watermelon, Too!

Bart also uses his sharp beak of a mouth to carve right through watermelon…

AND, wait until the end of the video to watch Bart eat some watermelon lollipops in honor of National Watermelon Day!

NOW, to see one of many watermelons we’ve EXPLODED (wait for the slow-mo explosion repeat at the end), SCROLL DOWN…

Bombs Away on National Watermelon Day!

I saw the idea of blowing up a watermelon using rubber bands on YouTube, and since the first one on the video left, we’ve blown up 3 more, including one at the end of one of our shows for Camp Cape May!

By the way, just a reminder that our virtual Turtlesinger Show is now showing at the West Deptford Library through August 31st. We don’t blow up a watermelon in that show, but it does end with a turtle race and other fun surprises. To see the show, just go to: https://wdfplchildren.wordpress.com/

We hope we've inspired you to enjoy some delicious watermelon of your own to celebrate National Watermelon Day, and thanks as always for reading.
