What’s That Sound?

On a previous blog, you heard Gracie making the sounds of eating fresh watermelon as she carved the fruit with her sharp beak.

Here, she uses that same sharp beak to enjoy some yummy corn on the cob. As my Gracie’s song says: "Take it from me, she eats with glee: and gets it all over her face!”

For video of Bart eating corn on the cob, too, SCROLL DOWN…

What A Face!

Bart loves eating corn on the cob, too—maybe even more than Gracie! Bart also gets corn all over his face, although turtles can, and he often does, use his front leg or arm to wipe his face. Bart often likes to use one front foot to hold his corn in place while he eats. My father used to tell us when we were kids to eat our corn on the cob cleanly, not leaving a lot of corn left on the cob. He would be proud of the job Bart does cleaning his corn on the cob! Bart also uses his sharp beak to eat his corn.

Finally, for video of our smallest but oldest Turtlesinger turtle eating corn on the cob, SCROLL DOWN…

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Even little Rocky cannot resist corn on the cob! To answer today’s question, make sure you turn up the volume for this video.

Today’s Question is: What kind of summer bird can you hear in the background of this video? Just push the Feedback button on the right to answer.

We hope you have enjoyed the sounds of our turtles eating their corn, and we hope you are also enjoying your own corn on the cob this summer. Thanks as always for reading!
